Five Tunnels grass cut map of the River Arrow

Artists Keith Ashford and Liz Turner are creating a map of the River Arrow in the grass at the Five Tunnels site in the Arrow Valley Park. This artwork shows historic and current manmade waterways and reflects how water flow was controlled to power the nineteenth century needle mills of the Arrow Valley. The changing water levels across the land will be echoed in the grass as it grows and is cut back.

This project is taking place June – August 2019 with the grass being reshaped at regular intervals over this time.

Come and chat on site to the artists and find out more:
Saturdays 2-4pm on 29th June and 3rd August
